Save your date
If your wedding day falls at a popular time of year, or you are running behind getting your invitations organised, then you might want to think about sending out ‘save the date’ reminders so your guests don't get double-booked. This way, your faraway guests will then have plenty of time to make travel arrangements, and take advantage of deals and discounts, and your busy friends will keep a space in their diary especially for you.
Sending out ‘save the dates’
Getting them in the post about 6 months before your event is ideal. They are like an extension of your invitation, which you can then follow up with your actual invites. You don’t have to send them to everyone; they are most useful to those traveling from afar. But if you think that your guests will get booked up then it’s a good way to increase the chance of everyone you want there actually being able to make it. If you are having evening guests, then do be wary of filing them with false hope that they will get an invite to your ceremony.
Ideas
You could add a magnet to the back so your guests can put it on their fridge? Or, perhaps you’d like to send out a sticker for your guests' calendar or diary to remind them? Maybe just an email with a beautifully designed attachment is what you are looking for?
Studio Belle can help you save your date, whichever way you choose.
